THE FINE PRINT

Privacy Policy

Effective May 17, 2026

This describes what Sprouts collects, why, and what you can do about it. Plain English.

What we collect

We do not show ads, sell data, or use third-party trackers beyond Firebase.

Where it lives

All data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore via Firebase. Firebase encrypts data in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. Google processes data on our behalf as a sub-processor; their handling is governed by their own terms.

Who can see it

A note on shared environments

While Sprouts is in development, our development, staging, and production builds share a single Firestore instance. We treat all data with the same care regardless of which build wrote it.

How long we keep it

As long as your account is active. When you request deletion (see below), we delete your account, family memberships you own, and the logs in those families within 30 days, subject to backups that age out naturally.

Your rights

If you’re in the EU, UK, or California, you also have rights under the GDPR or CCPA — including access, correction, deletion, and portability. Email us and we’ll honor them.

Children’s data

Sprouts is designed for parents and caregivers logging information about their children. Children do not create accounts and do not interact with the app directly. The information you log about your child is treated with the same care as your own.

Security

We rely on Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules to keep your data accessible only to you and your family. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, email us immediately.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll change the effective date and surface the update in-app.
